Does Salon Facial Treat Acne?
Off and on, there is a new addition to the already existent vast list of acne treatment options. Yet another addition to this list is acne facials. These days a number of salons offer various acne facials. But, how effective they are in treating the problem remains a subjective question.

Acne facials from salons do offer some results as far as the acne treatment is concerned. However, the level of results achieved varies from person to person. One of the key factors that determines the effectiveness of these facials is the severity of acne.

The less severe is your acne, the better these facials would work for you. If you are suffering from mild acne forms such as blackheads and whiteheads, then the success rate varies from 80 % to 90 %. Moderate forms of acne such as pimples and zits can also be controlled to quite an extent using these facials. However, they may not work for severe acne such as nodules and cysts.

Acne facials provided by salons are not a fixed line of treatment. Thus an acne treatment facial offered by a particular salon may differ immensely from the other. Most of the times, they are centered on the process of manually opening up the clogged pores. Once the pore is opened, the acne heals on its own.

In some cases, opening of pores is also followed by ozone treatment. This process is used to destroy the causative organisms. Once the treatment is done, a gentle massage with a soothing ingredient such as aloe vera gel or cucumber extract may be offered.

Since the process of these facials varies from one salon to another, the results received are bound to vary. The more comprehensive they are, the better your results are going to be. It is for this reason that it becomes important on your part to understand what all these facials include before you zero in on a particular one.

Another factor that counts in adjudging the effectiveness of these facials is the frequency with which you get them done. Make note that they offer best results only if they are done on a regular basis. If you get them done once in a while you will not be able to procure the results that you are looking for. It is advised that you get these facials done at least once in a month.

It is true that acne facial from salons may help you to a certain extent to control your acne. But, if you are relying on them totally to get rid of the problem then you are committing a mistake. For best results, it is advised that you include them as a part of your skin care regime.
