| The Aftermath of Acne-Removing Acne Marks |
|
Dermabrasion is one of the more popular ways of treating acne marks. This method uses some specific tools with which controlled surgical scraping or abrasion of the skin on the affected area is carried out. The marked portion of the skin is removed. Gradually, new skin emerges to cover the wound. When the wound is completely healed, you will see that the mark has gone altogether. Other procedures include punch excision and subcision. In the first process, the affected skin is removed with a punch and the wound is surgically sewed up. Subcision warrants the detachment of the marked area from the deeper tissues, underneath. Blood coagulates underneath the dermis which facilitates the formation of new skins. Acne marks are treated also with the help of laser surfacing. The marks are burnt off with a laser. When the wound begins to heal, new skin appears to cover it. Dermal injections are also used to treat acne marks. This procedure is known as dermal filling. Marks can be treated through the use of mild acids as well. Organic acids are applied on the mark to make the top most layer of the skin come off. Over time, fresh skin emerges and the mark completely vanishes. |
