What Is Adult Acne

 

Young people and adolescents are generally known to suffer from the nightmare of having acne and pimples. In fact, skin care products are targeted to this age group itself. But, it is a lesser known fact that acne and pimple are also associated with adult people. In other words, adult acne is not uncommon.

Adult acne can affect all the people including those who suffered from acne in their teens and even those who have never ever seen a single pimple on their face. Almost all people think that acne and pimple are restricted to adolescents and teenagers. So, adult people appear to be a bit surprised when they notice a pimple on their face.

But why does acne appear in adults or what are the causes of acne among adults?

4) Some medications such as lithium and those meant for tuberculosis can also be a cause of adult acne.

Suffering from pimple and acne in the adult age can cause a lot of emotional distress but you need to cope with it. According to a study, nearly 40% of all the acne products in The United States are purchased by adult people. So, you are not alone!
