Acne can be classified based on many criterion. Based on severity, acne is classified in to mild, moderate and severe. While mild acne can be treated with the help of a few OTC medications and home remedies, moderate to severe acne may require more precise acne treatment.
Similarly, acne is also classified based on the age of the sufferer. While most of us think that acne is only a malady of teenagers, the truth is far different. it could affect anyone at any age. The American Academy of Dermatology reports 80 percent of adults between the ages of 20 and 30 suffer from mild to moderate acne. Some people could also get affected by this condition in as late as their 40s.
