        Flaxseed Oil

Many skin problems like acne occur essentially because of inadequate intake of fatty acids in our daily diet. Flaxseed oil contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The fatty acids decrease the level of sebum production and open up the clogged pores.

Our skin is made up of innumerable cells. Fatty acids are essential for the health of our skin. Fatty acids promote the suppleness of the skin by helping it to retain moisture. Moreover, fatty acid is an important agent that supervises the process of expulsion of unnecessary materials from the body through the pores of the skin.

It has been proven that flaxseed oil helps in the treatment of acne. There are two ways of consuming flaxseed oil. Either you can eat it or apply it externally on skin. Flaxseed oil can help in the treatment of a number of skin disorders. Apart from acne, it can also cure other skin problems such as psoriasis and eczema.

Drinking enough water is very important to rid yourself of acne. If the body is short of the required amount of water, it leads to dehydration. The skin dries up and dead skin cells clog the pores of the skin. A minimum of two litres of mineral water per day can help keep the pores free.

An important yet simple home treatment for acne is drinking water. Water is the main carrier of nutrients throughout your body and is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups. Wastes and toxins from what you eat and what you breathe will build up in your system and cause health problems as well as skin problems such as acne. The human body has four outlets for this buildup of toxins and wastes: the bowels, the kidneys, the lungs, and the skin. Your bowels and kidneys are your body's primary outlets for this toxic buildup. If these two primary outlets are not working properly your lungs and skin become involved in the process, causing breathing problems and skin problems. To keep your bowels and kidneys working at maximum efficiency, drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day; this will help flush toxins out of your system and keep your complexion healthier.

Though honey is effective in treating acne, it does have its own share of drawbacks. Honey may not suit every skin type. If you have sensitive or oily skin type, this ingredient could further aggravate your acne, making it worse. Also, honey acne treatment does not yield any results when used for severe acne cases such as nodules and cysts.

I've had acne since I was a teenager and I'm 40 now. I've suffered through years of bad skin and tried tons of products and also been to many dermatologists for antibiotics, topical creams, etc. and my acne always came back when I quit taking them.

Then I found a mircale. B-5 - a vitamin! Pantithene or Pantethenic acid taken in capsule form will actually cure your acne from the inside out and stop your face from being oily.

It really works, it's cheaper than visits to the dermatologist, and it's a vitamin. You do have to take large amounts of the pills for the first 6 months or so but can then taper off. It seems crazy to take so many but it really works and it's not harmful because it is a water soluble vitamin - your body flushes out any you don't use.

I didn't know whether to believe it or not but it is amazing. Give it a try, have a little patience, and you will be FREE of the shame of bad skin.

You can get Pantithene or P...

i'm still confused about whether herbal and natural remedies are better than their prescription counterparts??
                                                  • Arvie

Acne requires both prescribed treatment and home care. Most over the counter products work well too. You need to support your acne treatment with right skin care regime. Simple things like washing face twice a day with a mild face wash and applying moisturizer helps a lot. Herbal and natural remedies can be used along as well. These are mostly safe and are not pricey even!
