'Cure your acne overnight', 'Get rid of pimples in 3 days', 'Say goodbye to acne in 24 hours'…these are just some of the claims that are offered to you by numerous OTC anti acne products. But are these so called quick acne cures really genuine? Do they actually help you lose weight in a very short time period as promised? Well, sad though but the truth is that there is no quick cure to acne.

Acne is a skin condition that is caused due to clogging of skin pores. At times, the sebaceous or the oil producing glands become overactive and secrete excessive sebum. This sebum along with other impurities gets trapped in the skin pores. These clogged pores
in turn serve as the perfect place for acne causing bacteria, also known as P acnes to thrive.

This entire process of acne formation is not something that happens in a day or a couple of hours. It takes some time before a pimple or a zit finally erupts on your skin surface. Thus, it is only obvious that it will take some time before you are able to completely heal your acne.

One of the most important causes of acne is hormonal imbalance. It is this hormonal imbalance that triggers your sebaceous glands and causes them to secrete excessive sebum. To deal with acne, you firstly need to check this hormonal imbalance. This again is no quick process. Even if you are using the most effective oral medications, it will take some time before you are able to control the hormonal outburst.

Thus, the bottom line is clear and simple. There is no quick cure to acne so it will only be wise to avoid products that promise you instant results. Even if you are using the most effective anti acne solution, the product will take some time for the results to show. This is precisely why you should be a little patient with acne treatment products. Do not expect them to show overnight results. Wait for a few weeks before you come up with a judgment about the product.

However, if you really do not have the time and patience to bear with your acne treatment then you might as well consider some of the advanced acne treatment options. These acne treatment options are relatively quicker as compared to the conventional acne treatment methods. Some of these advanced acne treatment options include laser acne treatment, blue light acne therapy, microdermabrasion and various other acne surgeries. If you are considering any of these advanced acne treatments, be prepared to pay huge costs.

So, the next time any acne treatment product promises you a quick cure to acne, make sure that you do not fall for it.
