People believe that both sun and UV rays emitted from tanning beds or tanning booths help to improve the condition of acne, pimples or zits in the sufferer.

It is true that tanning will cover the redness of the acne or pimples, but it has many adverse effects in long run. But, the truth is that tanning burns the skin and also rays emitted have many side effects. It can make your skin dry and itchy. Long time spent in tanning booths or beds can lead to skin cancer and early aging of skin.

It is advised to people suffering from acne to stay away from tanning because acne treatments includes many products and medicines that make the skin very sensitive. Our skin can not bear the strong rays emitted by sun or those used at tanning salons.
