A Complete Insight Into Back Acne Scars |
|
One of the most common problems associated with back acne is the scars that it leaves behind. And, these scars are surely the most difficult to deal with. These scars are quite stubborn and do not go away easily.
It is not essential that back acne will lead to acne scarring. It is only a severe or chronic form of the problem that results in to scars. Inflamed back acne may also be accompanied with scarring. These back acne scars are caused as a result of the rupturing of the cell follicle.
As we all know that acne is caused as a result of clogging of skin pores, the clogged pore gets infested with dead skin, debris, impurities, sebum and several other substances. Sometimes, the pore is unable to hold on all that it contains and bursts. This ruptures the cell follicle.
If the rupturing occurs near the skin surface, the scars left are minor and go away on their own. However, if the pore bursts deep below the skin surface, it causes deep scarring, which can be difficult to treat.
Treatment
If your back acne has left behind ugly acne scars, don't fret. Here are some simple treatment options that can help you fight the problem.
Bleaching
You can use one of the easily available bleaching creams in the market to fight acne scars. However, make sure that you use them only if your acne has gone completely. Using these creams over a period of time will diminish the appearance of these scars considerably.
Chemical peeling
This scar treatment method involves the removal of the upper layer of the skin which is damaged. Several chemicals are used for this purpose. Once the upper layer of the epidermis is removed, the fresh unscarred skin comes through. However, this method works only for scars that are not very deep.
Dermabrasion and microdermabrasion
Both of them work on the same principle i.e. removing the upper layer of the skin. While dermabrasion makes use of an abrasive tool for this purpose, microdermabrasion uses countless crystals that are bombarded on to the affected area at a high speed. While dermabrasion is accompanied with some amount of pain, microdermabrasion is absolutely painless.
Laser treatment
It is an absolutely safe and highly effective way to remove acne scars. Laser treatment can be used to remove scarring on any part of the body including the back. The only drawback of this treatment is that it is slightly expensive.
Prevention
One of the best ways to prevent back acne scars is to control the acne in the first place. In many cases, back acne that is met with a suitable treatment does not leave scarring behind. Consult a dermatologist so that you can keep your check on acne before it causes much damage.
Further on, following a proper skin care regime can also help avoid scarring to quite an extent. Keep your skin clean by using an anti bacterial cleanser. Exfoliating once a week will also help.
Also, try to avoid any kind of skin irritation as this is the most common cause if acne is culminating into scars. Do not wear extremely tight clothing or rub your back too hard.
