Acne is a chronic skin disorder which has been disturbing not only teenagers but also adult men and women and even infants. Acne is generally caused by over activity of the sebaceous glands which together with the hair follicles clogg the pores, here the oil, dead skin cells accumulate to form different acnes. In the herbal therapy section, tea tree oil and green tree cream are two of the best herbal acne remedies. Herbal remedies do not give side effects compared to the topical and prescribed medicines but they have one disadvantage, they take a lot of time to show results.
Nowadays acne medication is usually administered through oral antibiotic medication or medicine taken by mouth usually prescribed by a physician or a dermatologist.
Of all the extant oral antibiotics for acne, oral tetracycline remains one of the most widely used. Oral erythromycin on the other hand serves as an alternative to tetracycline safe for the consumption of pregnant women and very young children.
