DermaStyle– Zap the Zits with This New Acne Treatment |
|
The markets are abuzz with a new acne removal product. It is extremely portable and yet more effective than skin ointments and other prescription drugs that you use to remove acne. According to its promoters, it is only to be used for a few minutes each day in order to see improvement in your condition. The product is called DermaStyle.
The promoters have also claimed that it does not have any side-effects. That is because it is not an orally administered medication or skin lotion but a pen that uses light in order to treat acne on our face. And so far, white light has not been known to induce any harmful side-effects. So if you have acne and have failed to obtain results from other methods, you can try out the new DermaStyle acne light pen.
DermaStyle incorporates into itself a practical solution for a well known health-related fact– sitting in the sun can work wonders for the skin. And that also holds true for acne as well. People who had acne and who had to venture out in the sun reported a reduction in their acne. This observation was then studied further, improved, packaged and brought forth as DermaStyle, a convenient skin treatment method for people with acne.
However, you might ask that if natural sunlight provided the same kind of healing touch then why do you need DermaStyle. The answer to that question lies in this fact that sunlight, apart from containing white light, is also made up of ultra-violet light and infra0red rays. A prolonged exposure to these two types of radiation can cause skin cancer.
The pen not only treats acne but also prevents users from exposing themselves to UV and Infrared radiation. According to the Dr Steve Powell, president of Lumiport, the company that produces DermaStyle, the pen shines two types of light on the skin of the subject– red light and blue light. The red light reduced inflammation by going deep in to the skin while the blue light killed all pimple-causing bacteria.
Preliminary reports on the use of DermaStyle revealed that the subjects showed a 76 per cent reduction in acne. There were no side-effects observed as well. Hence, this allowed Lumiport to package it and bring it forth for users. However, the all important Federal Drug Administration approval is pending but would be obtained soon.
The product, claim spokesmen of Lumiport, is easy and hassle-free to use. All one needs to do is to point the light on the affected areas for a few minutes each day. Results would be visible within the first few weeks. Sure this sounds great. However, the company is still not sure of the product’s success. At $ 140 a piece, it might be a tad too expensive in comparison to other acne medications.
