IPL
acne treatment uses lights of three colors to treat acne and acne scars.
Lights of yellow, green and red colors are emitted on the affected area.
This helps to kill bacteria and other infections present in the skin.
This helps to open up the pores of skin and cure acne and other skin
problems. The treatment takes about half an hour to carry out the whole
procedure.
Everyone is suggested to use this treatment other than
the pregnant women, diabetic patients or people using other acne
treatments. Though there are no side effects reported till date,
precaution is better than cure. Therefore, using IPL acne treatment
during pregnancy is not recommended. This is because there could be any
side effects of the laser lights though they claim to not emit any
radiation. And a pregnant women can't take risk because there is a life
flourishing within her. The lights could effect the baby and could lead
to complications at the time of delivery or before that.
There is
evidence of no such case, but still IPL acne treatment during pregnancy
is not advised. Any pregnant woman's first concern should be baby rather
than the skin.
