There are mild to moderate forms of acne
which may not be that serious but there are also severe forms of acne
which could be very painful and traumatic. Acne Conglobata, Acne
Fulminans, Gram-negative Folliculitis and Pyoderma Faciale are some of
the severe forms of acne. Nodulocystic acne is one such other form.
Nodulocystic
Acne is a severe form of acne which usually affects the face, chest and
back. It attacks adults mainly in the form of inflamed and uninflamed
nodules, which frequently leave scars. It is normally found in males.

and recommended wherein the dermatologist can best guide you about the
management in such a case.
Medication
The recommended
treatment in case of nodulocystic acne is Isotretinoin. However,
antibiotics and oral steroids are also sometimes prescribed depending on
the condition of the patient. Being a severe form of acne, immediate
medical help is suggested to the sufferers.
