Aknemycin Plus belongs to a class of antibacterials that works by killing the bacteria, which are the root cause of the irritation and inflammation of acne. As such, I rate this product at a good 3.5 out of 5.

Aknemycin Plus is an alcoholic solution containing the antibiotic erythromycin 4 % and the retinoid tretinoin 0.025 %. It comes in a brown glass bottle that has a self-sealing and self-sterilizing sponge applicator. However, you should not use this medicine if:

a) you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding one already.

b)
you have ever had an allergic reaction to this or any other medicine.

Aknemycin Plus occasionally causes skin irritation, itching, and redness; not to mention bleaching of cloths, towels and pillows. People also do not talk highly of this product. Just about an average product is all what I would say.

A superb product but as usual it has the same side effects that most acne treatments have- dryness and size of the pimples.

Will work if persisted enough.

I started using Aknemycin Plus about about 2 weeks now, after trying every acne treatment recommended by my doctor.

I have really oily and sensitive skin and this treatment has dried my skin out, but unlike other products my skin is not itchy, peeling and uncomfortable.

I would be recommending this product as the last resort treatment.
