Oral contraceptives (birth-control pills) are used to prevent pregnancy. Yasmin is one such very good oral contraceptive. But besides aiding in avoiding unwanted pregnancy, it also cures acne. It is an average acne product which can be easily rated at 3.5 out of 5.

But, how do you decide if this oral contraceptive is right for your acne as well? This is something that is hard to tell. All birth control pills contain synthetic hormones that imitate the hormones a woman naturally produces. Only Yasmin contains the progestin drsp, or drospirenone which makes it a different kind of birth control pill. It may increase potassium. Therefore, you should not take it if you have kidney, liver or adrenal disease, because this could cause serious heart and health problems.

Customers and doctors have shown mixed reaction towards this product. It has worked for some, and led to aggravation for others.

Yasmin has worked as a disaster for me. It has many adverse effects. It leads to mood swings. I felt very depressed when I used it. It even didn't help me with acne. I will advice you all not to go for this option.

Yasmin is helping me to cure acne and even scars. I have been using it from past one month. I expect it will cure them completly. Bu I think excessive bleeding after period is a side effect of this product. But it is helping me to get rid of acne.
