Try to be as gentle on the skin as possible. Also try to use a soft cloth when cleaning your child's skin. Rough or abrasive cloths can irritate the pimples and result in neonatal acne scars. If baby acne persists for a longer duration and refuses to go, it is always wise to consult a doctor. The doctor will consider the condition of baby acne and the chances of any kind of scarring. A doctor can advise an appropriate treatment for baby acne which can prevent the formation of acne scars. Infantile acne scars is a rare condition and does not occur in most cases of baby acne. But nonetheless, it would only be wise for you take some basic precautions and follow adequate skin care in order to eliminate the chances of infantile acne scars.
